The Deathbridge Derby Dames were victorious in their first roller derby bout in the United States, hosted by the Electric City Roller Grrlz of Great Falls, MT on May 26, 2012.

Electric City started strong, maintaining a lead throughout most of the first half. However Deathbridge was able to gain momentum near the end of the first 30 minutes and were behind by only 14 points going into the second half with a score of 57-71.

Deathbridge came back in the second half by quickly releasing jammers from the jam line in order to help make up the deficit. Electric City ran into penalty trouble allowing Deathbridge to take advantage of power jams to pull into the lead with a final score of 142-124.

Deathbridge’s next event will be the Best of the West: Klash of the Kootenays tournament in Nelson, BC June 15-17. The next Lethbridge Roller Derby Guild league home game is June 23 with the Coalbank Crushers facing the Windy City Wenches.
