Game day general volunteering

Be part of the roller derby team by becoming an NSO or general volunteer!

Non-skating officials (NSOs) help officiate the game of roller derby, working with the referees. If you’re new to roller derby, you will be matched in a position that’s right for you and all training will be provided. Plus you get into games for FREE!

NSO positions include:

  • Jam timing
  • Penalty timing and tracking
  • Score keeping
  • Line tracking

General volunteers are the heart of the LRDG. Not only do they help out on game day in various roles, they are essential to the success of fundraising and other special events we host. Volunteers attend all events for free and get to take advantage of volunteer perks (like free food)!

General volunteer positions include:

  • Ticket sales
  • Merch sales
  • Track setup/tear down
  • Help at fundraising and special events (car washes, bottle drives, auctions, parades, recruitment events and more)
  • Announcing
  • Photographer
  • Videographer
